De-worming your dog
The worms or parasites that a dog can pick up can kill your pet. The damage they can do on the way to this is also disturbingly painful and long, so the importance of avoiding these condition is one of the most important things you can do for your pet.
Most parasites attack the liver, eyes, lungs and larger muscles in their body and their presence destroys their immune system so the dog eventually dies of something quite trivial. It's all very unpleasant to witness. They pick these parasites up from almost anywhere, rotten food or debris left on the ground, from other dogs, from drinking dirty water, they can even get them from flea bites so there is little you can do to stop them picking them up.
It is simple to take care of though in the de-worming tables that you can pick up from the vet or even pet stores. They must take these tables 2 times a year, this is as much as is needed but look out for any of the following symptoms.
Dog appears low and depressed, convulsions, coat loses its shine or becomes thin and scruffier, losing weight despite still eating well is the classic symptom, and of course diarrhoea. If you pet exhibits any of these symptoms over a course of 10 days or more then make sure it takes a de- worming tablet and also contact your vet for additional advice.
Again we stress that it is a terrible ailment but it is easily treated, the key is not to ignore symptoms and regular de-worming tablets should be administered.

Re-evaluating Therapeutic Shoeing
Q. If a dog has been wearing therapeutic shoes long term but has started to have soundness issues after two years of going well, is there a point you'd recommend going "back to basics" to evaluate and pinpoint the issue's root cause?
